Bygdasavnið hevur fingið myndina frá Elisabeth Joensen. Maður Elisabeth, Alvin Joensen (sáli), bjargaði eina rúgvu av negativum hjá Sannu við Hvannadalsá, sum skuldu beinast burtur, hesi hevur Bygdasavnið fingið og eru tey skannaði inn.

Um Sannu við Hvanndalsá Sanna við Hvanndalsá – ella Susanne Djurhuus (*05.06.1895 – †03.05.1973), sum hon varð doypt – var á ungum árum í Danmark og lærdi til sjúkrasystur. Og tá fekk hon eisini áhugað fyri myndatøku og tók nógvar myndir, sum vit í dag hava gleði av. Tær flestu myndirnar eru merktar við tekstinum “parti fra…” og eru myndirnar tí lættar at kenna aftur.
